About Craig
Craig Munro est spécialisé dans la prestation de services-conseils en matière de restructuration aux institutions financières, aux sociétés débitrices et aux actionnaires. M. Munro pratique la restructuration depuis plus de 25 ans. Il possède des connaissances spécialisées dans divers domaines, notamment l’immobilier, l’exploitation minière, la technologie, le secteur manufacturier, la foresterie et les transports.
Les principales missions de M. Munro comprennent SEFC Properties ltée, Tirecraft Group, Purewal Blueberry Farms ltée, Pine Valley Mining Corporation, Jameson House Properties, Air Canada et Nortel. M. Munro possède également une expérience internationale en matière d’insolvabilité, ayant travaillé à Hong Kong pendant quatre ans, principalement dans le cadre de la liquidation d’une grande banque d’investissement. Les secteurs dans lesquels M. Munro a été impliqué au cours de ses nombreux mandats de séquestre, faillites et missions de conseil en gestion comprennent la fabrication, la distribution en gros et au détail, le développement et la distribution de logiciels, les concessionnaires automobiles et les services professionnels.
En novembre 2010, SEFC Properties ltée, la société qui a conçu et construit l’ancien village des athlètes utilisé pendant les Jeux Olympiques d’hiver de 2010 à Vancouver, a été placée sous séquestre par une ordonnance de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique. M. Munro a assuré la surveillance de tous les aspects de ce projet, y compris le repositionnement de marque et les efforts de marketing, la gestion des questions litigieuses, la coordination des travaux de correction des insuffisances de l’actif et les rapports au tribunal et au prêteur garanti. En outre, M. Munro a dirigé les processus de vente des unités commerciales en copropriété qui ont été vendues à l’aide d’une offre de soumission-paravent (stalking horse), et de 119 unités contenues dans trois immeubles locatifs construits à cet effet.
Auparavant, M. Munro occupait la fonction de séquestre judiciaire de Pine Valley Mining Corporation (Pine Valley) dans le cadre de la procédure prévue en vertu de la Loi sur les arrangements avec les créanciers des compagnies. Pine Valley possédait et exploitait la mine de charbon Willow Creek, qui produit du charbon pulvérisé par injection et du charbon à coke. La procédure a fourni une plate-forme pour la liquidation volontaire de cette société, dont le produit a été utilisé pour financer une proposition approuvée pour ses créanciers.
Pendant son séjour à Hong Kong, M. Munro a été chargé d’élaborer et de mettre en œuvre la stratégie du processus de réalisation du portefeuille d’actifs de 1,2 milliard de dollars américains de Peregrine Fixed Income Limited, une banque d’investissement de Hong Kong qui a été liquidée à la suite d’une ordonnance des tribunaux de Hong Kong. Ce processus impliquait l’évaluation et la stratification des investissements détenus par l’entreprise et l’exécution de diverses stratégies pour maximiser la récupération pour les parties prenantes.
